MIMY (EMpowerment through liquid Integration of Migrant Youth in vulnerable conditions) is an EU-funded project aiming to improve the situation of young migrants throughout Europe, Grant Agreement 870700. MIMY has put together 8 EU partners and an extra-EU partner in a joint research and dissemination effort coordinated by the University of Luxembourg, from February 2020 to February 2023. The consortium includes 9 universities and research institutes based in seven EU countries: Germany, Norway, Italy, Romania, UK, Hungary, and Poland.
MIMY addresses the issue of youth migration in vulnerable conditions. In order to derive evidence-based policy recommendations, we will examine the effectiveness of integration policies in an interdisciplinary research endeavour. Most importantly, MIMY will put the experiences of young migrants at the center of its activities by directly involving them as peer researchers through participatory research.
The role of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Academia de Studii Economice), as the work package leader, is to coordinate and contribute to the quantitative analyses.
